1. In no more than 100 words tell us a bit about yourself.
Well here goes, my real name is William Riggins, I come from Drumchapel in Glasgow. I produce Hardstyle music under the alias "Nitroflux", and to be honest, I’m totally obsessed with everything Hardstyle. When I’m not producing or Djing you’ll probably find me on Xbox or online looking at studio equipment or researching different production techniques/tricks.
2. When did you first show an interest in DJ’ing / producing?
I first got into DJing around mid-2003 thanks to my good mate "Joe-C-Rage", around a year later is when I started mucking around with a trial of Fruity loops, didn’t have a clue what anything was so that quickly got put to the back of my mind for a few years. Started getting really focused on Hardstyle production in early 2009. Prior to that I was messing around with Scouse House and UK Hardcore.
3. Who would you say have influenced you over the years musically?
Guys like Scott Brown, Hixxy, Breeze and Styles really influenced me when I first started out. Then when I got into Hardstyle guys like The Prophet, Headhunterz, Zany and Noisecontrollers influenced me a lot.
4. What has been your favourite event to-date and why?
The sound of Q-Dance @ the 02 Glasgow, Q-Dance coming to Glasgow with a triple A line-up was just mind blowing!
5. What other artists would you recommend in the scene at the moment?
Guys like Noisecontrollers, Abyss & Judge, Doctor Zot and Headhunterz are really tearing it up, 2010 through to 2011 should be massive for these guys.
6. What would you say is your favourite record label at the moment?
Would have to be Fusion of sound, more and more names signing with them, their roster is looking pretty nice!
7. What would you say has been your biggest achievement in your djing career so far?
This is a tough one, has to be running my own independent night with Joe-C-Rage a few years back, mixed styles, good sized crowd. All in all a good night.
8. What’s the strangest thing you have ever seen at an event?
his one’s easy, security guard at the Q-Dance event @ the 02, raving like mad with his uniform on, glowsticks and ear protectors. Yes, he was supposed to be on duty
9. What can we expect from you in the future?
Hopefully 2010 will be my best year DJ wise and production wise, a forthcoming 4 track E.P on the Infexious Hardstyle label (name & tracklist TBA) will be my highlight at least. Other than that I have a rather massive project coming with "Joe-C-Rage" (more info to come shortly).
10. Do you have a message for the Infexious crew?
Keep it safe, keep it Hardstyle!
