| 1. In no more than 100 words tell us a bit about yourself.
My names Christopher Craig, I’m 26 & from Ireland but moved to Glasgow when I was five. I am a Dj & producer, I Have played in lots of clubs in Glasgow over the years like The Clinic, The Ferry, Ivory Blacks, The Vault’s & the Soundhaus regularly. Over the past 10 years I have played so many styles of electronic music but for the past near two years I have been playing & producing hardstyle. Overall I play a bit of everything to be honest I would never just stick with the one style as it get’s boring….you always have to hear fresh music. 2. When did you first show an interest in DJ’ing / producing? First got my vinyl decks when I was 16 & two years later got my first set of Technics 1210’s & I was hooked. Played all sorts of styles over the last 10 years like Trance, Techno, Schranz but Hardstyle & hardcore is where I’m at & enjoying most at the moment. Started producing at the end of 2006 just messing about but I have since done a HND in sound Production & just finished University so am a lot more clued up with the producing an making some great tracks at the moment. 3. Who would you say have influenced you over the years musically? Hard one to say, have played so many different genres of music when DJ’ing but Tiesto was my first favorite Dj back in 2001, a lot’s changed since then, Scott Brown is a Dj I admire from back in the day with the amount of tracks he was bashing out. Always been a fan of Scot Project & even when Hard Trance faded he was still at the top of his game. But to sum it up Marco V is just a Legend even when I have been playing different styles I have always looked out & listened to what he has been playing & he is a true professional. 4. What has been your favorite event to-date and why? It was in Holland & it was called Mysterland, 60,000 people all style of music, the weather was amazing, had two of my best friends with me & the whole day was spectacular. The hardstyle arena was out of this world & the people I met & the soundsysem’s in the arena’s where awesome. Fun stories but one of the best days of my life…oh & it was my birthday lol. 5. What other artists would you recommend in the scene at the moment? My favorite hardstyle artist has to be Frontliner; every record he brings out is special, very talented producer. Also would say B-Front who is up & coming at the moment but is one to watch. Zatox is in my opinion the biggest hardstyle Dj on the circuit at the moment & he has released some amount of quality tracks that it is unreal! The same goes for Zany as well, quality! 6. What would you say is your favorite record label at the moment? Iv always liked the Dutch & Italian hardstyle so Technoboy’s titanic label is a must & Zatox’s Italian Hardstyle label is going to be a biggie, of course Scantraxx & sub labels & Fusion are providing all the great Dutch stuff at the moment. 7. What would you say has been your biggest achievement in your DJ’ing career so far? 8. What’s the strangest thing you have ever seen at an event? Not saying anything that I have done lol, but years ago when I was 17 at Judgement Day in the Carlton Studios in Edinburgh some nutter dived head first of the stage which was about 2 meters high & broke his shoulder….no idea what he was thinking lol. 9. What can we expect from you in the future? I have just finished my degree in Audio Technology & am launching my digital download label HEAVY DUTY RECORDS soon. This will be releasing all my hardstyle productions & collaborations with other artists. Also playing lot’s of gigs around Glasgow but hope to venture to new venues in the future. 10.
